Eligibility & Categories

Q. Who is eligible to participate?
Any legally registered export-oriented business in Bangladesh may apply, provided they meet the criteria of at least one of the following categories:

  • Ready-Made Garments (RMG)
  • Backward Linkage Industries
  • Non-Traditional & Emerging Sectors – Manufacturing
  • Non-Traditional & Emerging Sectors – Services

Q. What are the minimum export thresholds for each category?

Q. What are the qualifying industries under “Ready-Made Garments (RMG)”?

This category includes manufacturers and exporters of knitwear, woven garments, innerwear, outerwear, and other apparel products that are part of mainstream RMG sector.

Q. What are the qualifying industries under “Ready-Made Garments Backward Linkage”?

This includes exporters of products and services that support the RMG sector, such as spinning mills, textile factories, dyeing and finishing units, accessories, trims, packaging materials, or even input services like washing and embroidery.

Q. What does “Non-Traditional & Emerging Sectors – Manufacturing” include?

This refers to manufacturing companies outside the traditional RMG and textile sectors. It may include exporters of electronics, light engineering, pharmaceuticals, plastics, furniture, footwear, leather goods, agro-processing, medical devices, automotive components, etc.

Q. What does “Non-Traditional & Emerging Sectors – Service” include?

This category includes exporters of professional, digital, or knowledge-based services such as IT and software development, design and creative services, fintech, consulting, digital marketing, training, engineering, architectural services, etc.

Q: What is meant by “calendar year” in the award criteria?

For the purposes of eligibility and data submission, “calendar year” refers to the 12-month period from 1 January to 31 December of the relevant year.

Q. I export to a single country. Am I still eligible?

Yes. There is no minimum number of export destinations required. However, export diversity is a factor considered during evaluation.

Submission & Nomination

Q. Will anonymous submissions be accepted?

In case of third-party nominations, nominator must include his/her name and contact information, so that the engagement team can reach out to the nominated company and inform them who submitted the nomination.

Q. Can I make multiple nominations? Does it increase the chances of becoming a finalist?

No, submitting more than one nomination does not increase your chances, each nomination is assessed independently and fairly based on merit.

Q. Can I submit for more than one category?

Yes, as long as your organization meets the eligibility criteria for each category, you may submit multiple entries using separate forms.

Q. When do submissions close?

The official deadline for all submissions is listed on the Awards homepage.

Q. What happens once I submit my nomination?

KPMG will shortlist the candidates based on the information provided and the nominees will be contacted for a second-round evaluation. A team of experts from KPMG will then conduct site visits to verify submitted information and gather additional documentation aligned with the information requirements detailed in the list of criteria.

Q. Can I add or edit my submission after it has been submitted?

Judging & Confidentiality

Q. Who sees my submission?

Your information will only be accessed by the Engagement Team and the appointed panel of judges for your category. All judges are bound by a confidentiality agreement. No data will be viewed by other parties without permission.

Q. Is the judging process confidential?

Yes. All judging discussions are strictly confidential. Judges only access entries relevant to their assigned categories and sign a formal Code of Conduct.

Q. What happens if I become a finalist?

Finalists will be notified by email. You will receive a finalist seal and a press release to promote your achievement.

Q. Do I have to attend the award ceremony if I am a finalist?

While not mandatory, attending the ceremony is highly recommended for media exposure, networking, and official recognition.
