Judging Criteria

The submission process & shortlist would be conducted independently by KPMG Advisory Services Limited. The final Jury Board comprising members from HSBC senior management team, Ministry of Commerce and British High Commission Dhaka will select the winners out of shortlisted nominations based on aspects such as, annual contribution to the national exports and economy, diversity, responsibility, sustainable business practices, governance strengths, regulatory compliance, etc.

Selection criteria for all the categories are as follows:

• Export value for the last 3 calendar years
• Export growth rate
• Profit Before Tax (PBT) in the last 3 calendar years
• FDI inflow in the last 3 calendar years
• Tax Clearance Certificate obtained in the last 3 calendar Years?
• Import value for the last 3 calendar years

• Diversity of export
  • Number of countries exported to
  • Country wise number of buyers in the last 3 calendar years
• Diversity of raw material acquisition
  • Number of countries raw materials acquired from
  • Country wise number of suppliers in the last 3 calendar years
• Types of products manufactured/ services provided in the last 3 calendar years

• Awards won in the last 3 years
• Special achievements by the organisation (process improvement/innovation, product development, environmental treatment plants etc.)

• Amount/proportion of raw materials acquired from Bangladesh
• Number of total workers (Permanent and Casual) in the last 3 calendar years.
• Proportion of women in payroll
• Proportion of women in management
• Amount spent on corporate social responsibility in the last 3 calendar years
• Total Installed in-house Renewable Energy plant (in Mega-Watts)
• Investment in Renewable Energy in the past 3 calendar years.

• Environmental Clearance Certificate (ECC) obtained in the last 3 years.
