Judging Criteria

Adjudication will be done by a Jury Board comprising members from HSBC senior management team, Ministry of Commerce and British High Commission Dhaka. Winners will be selected based on aspects such as, annual contribution to the national exports and economy, diversity, responsibility, sustainable business practices, governance strengths, regulatory compliance, etc. Selection criteria for all the categories are as follows:

• Export volume for the last three years
• Export growth rate
• Operating profit figures
• Growth in operating profit

• Diversity of export
  • Number of countries exported to
  • Country wise number of buyers
• Diversity of raw material acquisition
  • Number of countries raw materials acquired from
  • Country wise number of suppliers

• Awards won in the last three years
• Special achievements by the organisation (process improvement/innovation, product development, environmental treatment plants etc.)

• Amount/proportion of raw materials acquired from Bangladesh
• Growth in employment generation
• Proportion of women in payroll
• Proportion of women in management
• Existence and practices of employee participation forum (unions, agents etc.)
• Amount spent on corporate social responsibility

Compliant of all regulatory requirements as outlined by the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh
